Cash for Work - Debris Removal and School Rehabilitation

Cash for Work - Debris Removal and School Rehabilitation

Thousands of young people in the regions of northwest Syria are concerned about the lack of employment opportunities, owing to displacement, limited financial resources, and difficult economic conditions.
Cash-for-work projects provide direct services to communities, of which: maintenance of public facilities and infrastructure, removal of waste, and provision of services as needed.
These projects are very important, enabling families in need to become self-reliant, helping to improve their lives, being very successful in hiring many experienced young people who have not been able to get a job, reducing unemployment, preserving human dignity, and relatively reducing crime.
Such projects must be increased so families in need get to be empowered and have work sustainability. Workers' wages should be raised so that they be enough to meet individuals' needs. Organizations should implement these projects and not refer them to contractors in order to build the capacity of society's individuals.
Naseem Kheir has implemented such a project in several areas in the west countryside of Idlib.
